All patients are afraid of even bigger problems with their eyesight. And that’s perfectly natural. But, as evidence from worldwide practice shows, the probability of post-laser correction side effects is reduced to a tenth of a percent, thanks to a thorough diagnostic examination prior to correction and the perfection of modern laser systems. Diagnostics are carried out with the help of modern computerized equipment and make it possible to measure as precisely as possible the thickness of the cornea, intraocular pressure, to determine the cause of poor vision, to identify contraindications and potential threats, predict the outcome of future correction. Such an examination makes it possible to protect the patient from undesirable consequences and enables the attending physician not only to ascertain the advisability of laser correction, but also to propose an optimal, individual choice of the method of laser correction.
